Attempt #2

Well, hello there, my name is Ovidiu and I'm 16 years old. When Trave posted on this forum for the first time, I was there, trying to help him bring spineworld back. Now, after almost 3 years, I learned how to code in multiple languages and I want to try and bring it back myself. I don't think we can get past copyright too easily, so what I'm going to do is create a similar social 2d game. I don't care if I'll succeed or not, but for sure I'll do my best. The first release will take a while, but I'll try to get it up as fast as possible. I need help with sprites, so, if you guys could post any pics of spineworld characters (from all 6 positions of course), or post custom sprites here, I would be very grateful. Thank you guys for reading this.

Hey by the way, which program are you using to make this game ?

I'm using unity, but I'm still in the process of better understanding the 2d part of this engine. If this week I'll get to work, by friday I should release a version that will only include an isometric version of a random game (like a ball moving in an isometric world). Actually, that's pretty easy to make, so I should add some more textures and release a little mini-game.

It's really good that people aren't giving up on this. We owe you so much! :)

Hello everyone, I'm here with my first update!
It's been a busy week for me and I didn't get to do too much for now, but at least I started working. Now, as I said before, I won't really recreate SpineWorld, but my target will be to create a game that's similar to SpineWorld, as we can't really get past Copyright.

So far I implemented the character movement and the camera, lightning. So, only the core elements (also, for now, you can walk through walls xD but that'll be fixed soon). I won't upload the game for now, because I don't think there's too much to play. But if you'll insist, I will upload it.

Please upload it! I can't wait to see even a lil bit of it. And I think you've done such a nice job right now, you have done so much, take your time, really, just the thought of it, that you're making something similiar to sw keeps us hoping. Anyway, keep up with the great job!

PS. I wanted to ask, if this game has membership in the future, do you want us to pay by paypal or real money and stuff, or just game coins?

Updated the post with the link and no, I won't use real money unless I'd need it for the project or if I'll have serious real life prolems. But, as long as someone can host a server, there will be no payments regarding the game's content and stuff

I will only use them if someone will buy spineworld/migoland. If it won't happen, I'm afraid I can't do it.

If you success in making the first part(making an area with a shop and with moving caratchers, you could try hire spineworld original artists!

Yeah, you got it right, I'm from Romania and thanks for the support, but now, Abdou is the main developer of the game.
